| | | WHAT WE'RE WATCHING | π The US and Europe have considered nuclear options in Ukraine. Western officials, including President Biden, have reportedly discussed providing Ukraine with nuclear weapons as a deterrent against further Russian aggression. Meanwhile, Russia just launched a hypersonic intermediate-range ballistic missile at the Ukrainian city of Dnipro — the first time this kind of weapon has been used in the war. | ⚖️ Judge delayed sentencing in Trump's hush money case indefinitely. A New York judge stayed the previously scheduled sentencing for Donald Trump, allowing the defense to argue for dismissal now that he is set to return to the White House. Trump's lawyers contend that the case interferes with his presidency, while prosecutors argue that the jury verdict must be respected. | π³️⚧️ Republicans proposed legislation to ban transgender surgeries for minors. Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) introduced the STOP Act, which would impose heavy fines on doctors performing transgender procedures on children, calling such practices "irreversible child abuse." A recent poll showed that 72 percent of Americans, including majorities of Republicans and Democrats, oppose providing minors with puberty blockers or transgender surgeries. | π House Oversight launched an investigation into FEMA. House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) cited whistleblower claims that FEMA discriminated against Trump supporters, calling them "domestic terrorists." In a recent hearing, lawmakers grilled FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell on these reports and raised concerns about the agency spending hundreds of millions of dollars on migrants. |

| | WHAT WE'RE HEARING | Ana Kasparian acknowledged that Trump's Remain in Mexico policy "was very successful, and Biden reversing it did lead to the crisis at the border." Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) — the new Chairwoman of the House DOGE Subcommittee — said they will look into cutting funding for PBS and NPR. Donald Trump is not considering former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI) for the FBI director role, contrary to earlier reports. Denver Mayor Mike Johnston (D) vowed to protest Trump's planned deportation efforts in Colorado, even if it means risking arrest. Michael Moore scolded President Biden for escalating the war in Ukraine, leading the US "right into World War III."

| | NARRATIVE TRACKER | The New York Times initially published the headline, "Israeli Rabbi Who Disappeared in Dubai Is Found Dead." In reality, Rabbi Zvi Kogan was murdered, likely as part of a terrorist act. The Times later changed the headline. MSNBC initially published the headline, "Laken Riley's killer never stood a chance," implying that the killer was not receiving a fair trial. After heavy blowback, they changed the headline. Writer Franklin Foer wrote in The Atlantic, "Trump Is Building the Most Anti-Semitic Cabinet in Decades," specifically taking aim at Matt Gaetz (who will not serve in Trump's cabinet) and Elon Musk because of the increased antisemitism on his platform X. Though some in the cabinet are more skeptical of funding foreign wars, the vast majority of Trump's cabinet is fiercely pro-Israel. The Israeli people and government are also very supportive of Trump — two-thirds said they supported Trump over Kamala Harris. He also increased his share of the Jewish vote by 50 percent in New York compared to four years ago.

| *Indicates content from our sponsors | | MY THOUGHTS | It Was Never About Israel | Good morning. Over the weekend, we tragically learned of the targeting, kidnapping, and murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the UAE. He was an emissary. His wife, who survives him, is a niece of Gabi Holtzberg, another emissary, who, along with her husband and guests, was murdered in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks where Jews were specifically targeted. | This comes just weeks after the horrifying coordinated "Jew Hunt" in Amsterdam. | It's a stark reminder: when the dark forces of the world claim to only hate "Israel," what they truly mean is "Jews." | |
