| | | WHAT WE'RE WATCHING | | 🥇 US Olympic team blocks men from women's sports. The US Olympic Committee updated its policies to comply with President Trump's executive order keeping biological males out of women's sports. USA Fencing became the first to publicly announce compliance, effective August 1. The shift follows months of controversy after fencer Stephanie Turner knelt in protest to avoid sparring with a transgender-identifying opponent, leading to congressional hearings. | ❌ House GOP blocks Epstein document votes. House Republicans pulled key bills this week to avoid Democratic amendments demanding the release of Jeffrey Epstein records. Republican Rep. Ralph Norman (SC), a member of the House rules panel, told reporters that Democrats are just trying to "grandstand." However, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is pushing a bipartisan bill to force disclosure before the August recess, but leadership appears unwilling to act. | 🇯🇵 Trump struck a $550B Japan deal. President Trump announced reciprocal tariffs at 15 percent on Japanese exports, down from the threatened 25 percent. Japan will invest $550 billion in the US, with America receiving "90 percent of the profits." The timing couldn't be better for Prime Minister Ishiba, whose coalition just lost its parliamentary majority. President Trump also gains another big win for his trade agenda. | 🎓 Columbia suspends dozens over library takeover: Columbia University issued punishments to over 70 students involved in the May 7 library occupation and last year's encampment. Most students received two-year suspensions, and a handful were permanently expelled. The university cited violations of academic policy and injury to staff, marking its most serious disciplinary action since the protests began. |

| | | THE MAIN STORY | Tulsi Gabbard wants Barack Obama prosecuted | | _WHAT'S HAPPENING_ | Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has released declassified documents alleging that the Obama administration "manufactured and politicized intelligence" regarding Russian interference in the 2016 election. | This comes after the bombshell CIA review finding the 2016 intelligence assessment alleging Russian election interference had glaring procedural flaws. | Gabbard's report goes further by accusing top Obama officials of orchestrating a coordinated conspiracy. She has referred the documents to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for potential prosecutions. | | _THE FACTS_ | The Obama administration's fabricated intelligence laid the foundation for the yearslong Trump–Russia collusion investigation, which sought to undermine Trump after his 2016 victory. Tulsi Gabbard has referred all documents to the DOJ as a "criminal matter" for investigation and potential prosecution. FBI Director Kash Patel has already launched criminal investigations into former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) stated he has "no concern" about bringing Obama in for a congressional deposition or subpoena. Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, called Gabbard's threats "dangerous" with "absolutely" no legal basis. The House Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction here, is expected to play a central role in potential congressional investigations. President Trump claimed that Gabbard has "thousands of additional documents coming" that will further implicate Obama officials. An Obama spokesman issued a rare statement calling the allegations "ridiculous" and "a weak attempt at distraction."
