America is being convinced.
| Hey, | When I started Upward News, I hoped I wouldn't have to write emails like this. | But we need reader support. That's our model. | I want to show you what's at stake right now as the corporate media is flooding the country with lies about Trump's deportation policies and ICE: | They claimed ICE agents kidnapped Yuriana Calderon — leaving out that she staged the whole thing and was federally charged for it. They ran with a story about an 82-year-old "wrongly deported" to Guatemala — when DHS confirmed he was never deported at all, and may have died years earlier in Chile. They said Trump deported a helpless man to Bhutan — but buried the fact that he had a felony burglary record. They accused ICE of brutally beating a Marine's father — ignoring that he was here illegally, resisted arrest, and threatened agents with a power tool. They exaggerated reporting on men deported to South Sudan — failing to mention that those men were convicted of murder, child rape, and homicide. Axios claimed Trump wants to oust legal U.S. residents — when in reality he's rolling back Biden's reckless abuse of Temporary Protected Status, which handed out mass legal status. The New York Times pushed the claim that ICE is "separating families" — when in fact nothing has changed. All families have a choice in deciding how they want to deal with immigration laws. POLITICO warned that ICE randomly arrested an innocent "moped driver" in D.C. — he was an illegal alien criminal from Venezuela, with suspected gang ties and an active deportation order. He resisted arrest and left an officer with a concussion.
| There are dozens more examples of stories like these. Even in the most egregious cases—violent criminals, repeat offenders—the media bends over backwards to take the side of the illegal immigrant. | But these hoaxes are effective, and they have consequences—attacks on ICE officers are up 830% nationwide. | It's an effort to change America's opinion on deportations altogether, to delegitimize enforcement, and ultimately to stop Trump from carrying out the mission voters elected him to do. | Also, some of these illegal immigrants are flat-out dangerous and need to be deported. | That's the basic battle we're fighting. | Meanwhile, The New York Times and The Atlantic collect millions in subscriptions to bankroll this propaganda. Our small team fights to debunk it all with a fraction of their resources. | And right now, we need you to fight back against the media machine. | If you believe in honest reporting free from liberal pressure... | If you want the truth to survive amid this barrage against Trump... | We need your commitment today. | | The left understands what many conservatives haven't: Whoever funds the media controls the narrative. Liberals pay to spread their worldview. Too many conservatives expect the truth to survive on its own. | It won't. Not without you. | Become a paid supporter today. Not tomorrow. Today. | In return, you'll get our daily hoax alerts and reporting that cuts through the noise and exposes the media's spin in real time. | | Help us fight for truth, and for the future of America, | Ariel David, Founder, Upward News | P.S. If just 5% of our readers subscribed today, we could assign reporters specifically to debunk all these lies in real-time. | |
