Collection of 22 Simeon Schwemberger Prints from Glass Negatives Prints measure 5 x 7 inches. All in fine condition. Verso has stamp from previous owner, Nello Guadagnoli in Gallup, New Mexico.  Stunning collection of unpublished photos of Hopi and Navajo Indians from the early 20th century by Simeon Schwemberger.  Photos include scenes of Hopi and Navajos collecting water and weaving blankets, plus scenes at their traditional hogans and sweat lodges. Also included are eight ceremonial images including one rare view of the Hopi Snake Dance.  Schwemberger images rarely come on the market.
