Poland, right on Ukraine's doorstep, has been fortifying itself for a future Russian attack. | 3. 🇺🇦 Macron rallied Europe to secure future peace in Ukraine. At a Paris summit, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that 26 countries pledged to uphold any peace deal with Ukraine, even by deploying troops to deter Russia. Trump phoned in, urging Europe to cut Russian oil and squeeze China, but uncertainty remains over whether Washington would fully back the plan. | 4. 🇨🇳 China hosted Russian and Indian leaders for trilateral talks. The visit was the first by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin to China since the late 2010s. Chinese President Xi Jinping said they should all be "partners instead of rivals." Putin added that the American eagle looks left and right, but not south — implying the United States is ignoring India and the broader global south. |
