The Worst Sin

Christ, as a sign of contradiction, lived this virtue to the fullest

Pride. The Worst Sin

It is the sin that continues to interfere in our lives.

The sin that caused Satan to fall and Adam and Eve to be banished from paradise.

St. Augustine stated that "humility is the foundation of all the virtues; therefore, in a soul where it does not exist, there can be no true virtue, but the mere appearance only." Ouch. All other virtues are mere appearances without this foundation.

Yet even after understanding this truth, how do we stop being prideful and grow in humility?

Pride is not just being arrogant. It sneaks in during the quiet comparison to others or the anger towards a family member.

Did you know that saints would go out and seek public humiliations? Is this what we must do?

Today, joined by Patrick O'Hearn, we discuss a more discreet path to growing in humility, one that is powerful and effective. It is the hardest prayer we have prayed, and returning to it frequently causes you to assess, seek His grace, and begin to understand those areas in life that are holding you back.

Learn proven ways to remove pride from your life. We hope you will join us.

In Christ,
John
