The first thing you need to know about the Ape Hanger is that it's one of the rarest — and most difficult — obstacles on the race course. Next, it's a three-part challenge. Step 1: Jump to and climb up a rope hanging over muddy water. Step 2: Using only your hands, climb up and down an angled monkey bar ladder. Step 3: RING THAT BELL and drop into the water below.
