| | | News dropped this week that Cecily Von Ziegesar, author of the Gossip Girl series, is writing a sequel about an adult Blair Waldorf. Eek!
My first thought when I read this news was that today I'd write about books I loved as a teen, but here's the thing: I didn't really read for pleasure in high school. I loved reading for English class, but outside of that, I didn't have the time.
But I did read a lot for pleasure when I was in middle school, and I still love so many of those books. They shaped me as a reader and as a person, and I feel lucky to have encountered them during those awkward, formative years.
Did any of these books also shape you as a reader? Am I missing a millennial classic? Reply to let me know! XOXO,
