Vu, stylized as VU, was a weekly French pictorial magazine, created and directed by Lucien Vogel, which was published from 21 March 1928 to 29 May 1940; it ran for 638 issues. The first large weekly to systematically feature photographs in essay form, and as such was an important precursor to, and proponent of, the magazine format of photojournalism (which came to prominence a decade after its print run in magazines such as Life and Look). |

Mack starred with Buster Keaton in The General. Approximately 50 original autographs and inscriptions, with a few drawings as well. |

Handwritten Coal Mining Ledger of the Stanton Colliery, 1883-1884 Activities in Pennsylvania Huge folio-sized ledger of the Stanton Colliery (coal mine) near Wilkes-Barre, PA, which operated about 1870 to 1912. The mine was beset by troubles throughout its lifetime, including fire, union and police conflicts, and even a tornado. The ledger details many hundreds of individual transactions between 1883 and 1834, related to named banks, railroads and individuals. Just a sampling shown of this important historical record. |
