Forty six sections in all. These photographs capture a Western waterway almost entirely displaced, with nearly all of its original route completely rebuilt as it was engineered to operate as the backbone of the St. Louis sewer system, and almost completely underground. | |

A large and important collection related to George Gatewood Mullins a chaplain and teacher for the Buffalo Soldiers, the 25th Infantry, starting in 1875 at Fort Davis, Texas. There are about 70 items total including printed and manuscript items. The collection includes includes 60 letters and documents related to his time as a chaplain and educator for the Buffalo Soldiers from 1875 into the early 1880s. He served primarily with the 25th Infantry and was an important figure in educating African Americans.
