Exorcist Fr. Ripperger: Raising Your Sons to Be Men
|
We look around and see young men in their twenties and thirties who still act like teenagers. Maybe you see glimpses of it in your own home. The video games, the lack of initiative, the softness you can't name but you feel in your gut.
Fr. Chad Ripperger grew up in his father's diesel mechanics shop. He learned to work with his hands, to fix what was broken, and to stop complaining and get the job done.
His father didn't lecture him on manhood. He handed him a wrench and made him figure it out.
What Fr. Ripperger learned under the hood was reality, responsibility, suffering, and what actually matures a man. It's something every father needs to hear.
The connection he draws between the mechanics shop and his work as an exorcist is something only he could make.
I sat down with Fr. Ripperger to talk about what's stunting our sons, why hard work is the antidote, and what we as fathers can start doing today.
In Christ, John Heinen
PS. For our regular listeners, you will notice this was recorded over a year ago, but it is still very important.
