Ski Racing Broadside California 1869.
Exceedingly rare Broadside for the first ski races in the western hemisphere and the first money prize races anywhere. These races started a few years earlier in the high country snow country of the northern mines. There is much documentation and some photography but as far as I can find no paper artifacts of this miners pastime. There is one other broadside in a California ski museum. So this is not only a striking display item but a rarity of Western Americana
