| | | | | The other day Joe Biden said he supported marriage equality, and that was a "gaffe," and then President Obama said the same thing, and that was "historic." What the what? Well, it has to do with timing, and staying on message, which is political-ese for "suppressing your actual thoughts/beliefs in order to win political points until your actual thoughts/beliefs seem more popular and/or until the suppression of your actual thoughts/beliefs seems unpopular." Around the Indecision office we call this "job security." Still, yes, it is nice to hear the president say this nice thing, after however many years it's been. –Mary (@maryps)
